NEWS FROM THE 2ND ATLANTA INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL TRADE MISSION
>> Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin to Deliver Keynote Address at 2nd Atlanta International Environmental Trade Mission
You are invited to participate in the 2nd Atlanta International Environmental Trade Mission (ETM), October 5 – 9, 2009. Fourteen international companies will be visiting Atlanta to exchange information, facilitate collaboration and identify potential environmental economic development opportunities in "green" business development with Metro Atlanta business and civic leaders.
On October 7, at the World Trade Center, there will be a luncheon, 12:30 – 2:00 p.m., with the Honorable Mayor Shirley Franklin, City of Atlanta, Ambassador Reda Mansour, Consul General, State of Israel and & Dean of the Consular Corps of Georgia and Québec Government Delegate, Ginette Chenard as they provide insight into their vision for sustainability.
That morning, 7:30 – 9:00 a.m., there will be a breakfast with and the Honorable Lisa Borders, City Council President, City of Atlanta and Consul General Lütz Gorgens, Federal Republic of Germany speaking on the Transatlantic Climate Bridge. The 2nd Atlanta International Environmental Trade Mission is presented by the Atlanta Development Authority and the Metro Atlanta Chamber, with Honorary Chair, Mayor Shirley Franklin. The Environmental Trade Mission 2009 will focus on Clean Water and Wastewater Systems, Innovative Waste Management and Cutting Edge Technologies for Green Buildings.
The International Committee includes the Quebec Government Office, German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern United States, Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Consulate General of Canada, British American Business Group, UK Trade & Investment, British Consulate-General, U.S. India Trade Foundation, Russian-American Chamber of Commerce, Asia Society, Enterprise Rhone-Alpes International and the World Chamber of Commerce.

Metro Atlanta Host Committee opens its arms to welcome the fourteen international companies visiting Atlanta to share and exchange their sustainability expertise and clean technology. The week’s activities include meetings with Fort Benning, business leaders in Atlanta at the Metro Atlanta Chamber, municipal leaders in Atlanta at the World Trade Center, hospitality leaders of Atlanta at the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau and City of Atlanta Officials at Atlanta’s City Hall.
