Lynnette  Young,  President  and  CEO  of  Damespointe,  Inc.,  is  nationally  recognized  for  developing  strategic  and  enduring  solutions  for  both  public  and  private  sector.   With  proven  high-level  leadership  experience,  her  landmark  approach  to  crafting  and  stewarding  business  improvement  initiatives  has  served  the  cities  of  Atlanta  and  Baltimoe.  
  
As  principal  of  Damespointe—  an  Atlanta-based  consulting  firm  with  a  solid  reputation  for  delivering  results  in  the  development  and  implementation  of  corporate  responsbility  and  public  /  private  partnerships—Lynnette  serves  as  chief  strategist  and  leads  a  team  of  highly  experienced  practice  professionals.    
  
Similar  to  her  experience  as  the  Chief  Operating  Officer  of  the  City  of  Atlanta  under  Mayor  Shirley  Franklin,  Lynnette  continues  to  establish  best  practices  through  strategic  and  innovative  improvements  in  operations  and  to  examine,  refocus  and  shape  policy  to  increase  value  for  both  internal  and  external  stakeholders.  
  
Because  of  her  leading  edge  approach  to  delivering  responsible  economic  development  through  public  /  private  partnerships,  Damespointe  now  serves  as  key  consultant  to  Sustainable  Atlanta,  Atlanta  City  Government’s  hallmark  environmental  sustainability  initiative.   Designed  to  power  partnerships  to  develop  the  greenprint  for  ensuring  Atlanta’s  world-class  sustainability,  Sustainable  Atlanta  is  the  City’s  first  comprehensive  enterprise  engaging  government,  business  and  community  in  creating  and  implementing  solutions  to  forward  environmental  stewardship.  
  
Much  like  the  pivotal  role  Lynnette  played  spearheading  development  of  the  City  of  Atlanta’s  first  ever  economic  development  pln  –  The  New  Century  Economic  Development  Plan—she  will  continue  to  engage  stakeholders  to  develop  plans  for  sustainability  that  improve  the  quality  of  life  and  enhance  econoic  viability  for  Atlanta  and  its  residents.   In  addition  to  her  work  with  economic  development,  Lynnette’s  operations  acumen  has  served  as  leadership  for  improvements  in  IT,  emergency  preparedness  and  commercial  and  residential  permitting  processes.   
  
Prior  to  service  to  the  City  of  Atlanta,  Lynnette  served  as  Chief  Administrative  and  Operating  Officer  under  Baltimore  Mayor  Kurt  Schmoke.   In  addition  to  executive  oversight  and  policy  development  for  all  city  agencies,  she  was  responsible  for  over  25,000  employees.  
  
As  Senior  Vice  President  of  the  Carnegie  Morgan  consulting  firm,  Lynnette  served  four  divisions  of  the  firm  and  counseled  clients  in  policy  development,  deployment  of  organizational  resources  and  other  strategies  to  optimize  performance.   
 Her  membership  on  charitable  and  non-profit  boards  includes  the  Commerce  Club  Operating  Board,  Emory  Board  of  Visitors,  True  Colors  Theatre  Company  Board,  191  Club  Board  of  Governors,  Theatrical  Outfit  Board,  Chair  of  the  Women’s  Leadership  Group  at  the  Commerce  Club  and  the  Atlanta  Neighborhood  Development  Partnership,  Inc.  Board.    
  
A  graduate  of  the  University  of  Maryland,  Lynnette  has  also  completed  advanced  studies  at  the  John  F.  Kennedy  School  of  Government  at  Harvard  University.  
  
She  currently  resides  in  Midtown  Atlanta.
