Elizabeth B. CoyleLiz Coyle is a communications consultant, community leader and public school advocate. In multiple roles, she creates environments for collaborative dialogue to reach ambitious consensus solutions. As a skilled communicator with multi-sector expertise, she facilitates successful issues management within and across public, private, and not-for-profit organizations. Professional Experience Since 1984, Ms. Coyle has consulted with a broad spectrum of organizations including multi-national consumer products companies, public utilities, non-profit associations, and local governments. She assists her clients in public and media relations, public affairs, internal and external communications, and strategic planning. Ms. Coyle is an expert in strategic messaging, spokesperson training, and facilitation. Her professional experience includes Hill & Knowlton, Inc. and Daniel J. Edelman Public Relations firms, both in Chicago. As a senior account supervisor, she managed client relations and account teams in the development and execution of a wide variety of public relations programs. Since 1990, she has been an independent communications consultant with a focus in the area of sustainability, helping clients communicate their efforts to integrate environmental responsibility and social equity with economic viability. Community Involvement As a member of the Board of Directors of Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. from 2006-2009, Ms. Coyle played a key role in representing community interests to this internationally recognized multi-faceted urban redevelopment project that promises to positively transform the City of Atlanta. Additionally, she is chair of the BeltLine Network, an alliance of organizations and individuals all working to ensure the BeltLine lives up to its vision to connect Atlanta and its citizens through transit, trails, parks and economic development. Ms. Coyle is past-president of the Council of Intown Neighborhoods and Schools (CINS), a non-profit organization that seeks to engender community participation in and strong support for Atlanta Public Schools. She served on the board of CINS from 2001 to 2008. For many years, she has been an advocate for public education, and actively involved in her children’s schools. From 2003-2008, Ms. Coyle was vice chair of her Neighborhood Planning Unit. She is a past president of the Atkins Park Neighborhood Association and is vice president of the Atkins Park Garden Club. Additionally, she serves on the F.R.E.S.H. (Fulton Roundtable Expanded Service Headquarters) Community Advisory Board for Fulton County District 6.
